Spaintrips

  • Along with a nice bottle of cava . . .
  • and some espresso and we were on our way to visit Cap de Creus.
  • We drove up the coast a short way to Cap de Creus, a rocky headland that is the eastern most point of the Spanish mainland.
  • It was a windy day -- check out Kathy's new hairdo!
  • After we walked around the lighthouse, August and Lou went for a hike . . .
  • . . . out to the farthest point.
  • We made it!

  • The next morning Lou got up early to wander the streets of the upper village.

  • Then we drove up the coast on winding roads until we crossed into France. C'est bon!
  • All along the way the hillsides were planted with grapes -- everywhere!
  • Our destination was Collilure, a picturesque seaside village.
  • Though unfortunately we when arrived it started to rain. Still a pretty town!

  • On our last morning in Cadaques, Lou and Kathy got up early to catch the sunrise, then took a walk through the village.
