  • Valencia is a wonderful city with an old quarter that is full of small plazas.
  • One of the most interesting things about the city is the urban park that has been built in the dry bed of the Turia River. After a flood in 1957 that damaged much of the city, the Río Turia was diverted, now passing around the southern and western suburbs of the city. The former river bed wrapping around the northern and eastern rim of historical Valencia, is now an urban park that stretches for 10 kilometers.
